A lovely little 1/8th size French violin made by the famous firm J.T.L. in the late 1800s, early 1900s in either Paris or Mirecourt, both renowned areas of violin making at the time. 

 

Medio Fino violins are praised for their high quality and exceptional sound quality and these small sized Medio-Fino models have a very good reputation.

 

The back is made from a single piece of maple and the table is a wide grained spruce.  The scroll is very neatly cut and the innards are fully blocked and lined.  

 

The length of the back is 267 mm.
